A single LinkedIn post inviting women in distribution to connect was the unexpected catalyst of this community. That first post led to an event at Schroders with 140 women, and within a year the community had grown to over 300. With such incredible feedback and requests for more events and networking, the community was born. Our mission is to provide women in distribution with events, knowledge sharing and networking, for as long as we are needed.
“WiD is a beautifully simplistic concept, with high impact and a huge reach. Bringing women together who have a passion and talent for client facing roles in distribution will undoubtedly allow them to discuss progressive ways to overcome some structural hurdles women have traditionally faced. We need to move away from the narrative that 'women just don't apply for the roles' and try and understand why they don't apply and what we as an industry need to do to change that. WiD addresses some of these things head on.”

Women in Distribution exists because of you! A LinkedIn post inviting a get together for women in sales had more take up than I could ever have imagined. I genuinely thought 20 women would say yes. That first event had 140! We’re now a community of approaching 400 women which blows my mind. This is a space for women in distribution across Asset and Wealth Management to connect, be heard, and to lift each other up. Whether it’s at our events, in conversation, or simply by knowing you’re not the only one - Women in Distribution is here to give us all a bit more power, and a lot more voice.
